Kevin, the plant papi behind Plantiitas, planted the idea of the shop from the shelves of his Long Beach apartment. Once the idea had germinated, the Coronavirus pandemic forced the growth to spill over into his garage, where he began to host weekly pop-up shops on the weekends. The popular response to Plantiitas soon pushed this plant daddy to move to a larger home, so he opened the doors to his shop on 4th Street a few months later in 2020. Boasting a wide variety of plants, planters, and unique accessories, Plantiitas is now a center to many plant enthusiasts and hobbyist from throughout Southern California. Today, Plantiitas also finds ways to share their growth by giving back through hosting regular pop ups to connect new small business entrepreneurs to new clients.
